Who is this for?
Riders who completed Triple C Coaching Cyclocross Skills in 2020 OR
Riders who are proficient in all cyclocross basics (off/carry/on, barriers, corners, basic handling) who seek to increase their skills and grow their "CX toolbox."
Cyclocross at its highest level is an artform, requiring riders to become students of the discipline. It's not just "bunny-hopping the barriers," it's also the tiny details that add up lap after lap.
For example, can you remount the bike and immediately launch a sprint as you clip in?
Do you know the fastest, most energy-efficient way to run a 180 with the bike?
This course emphasizes advanced skills that Coach Corey learned while racing the European professional circuit.
During this course, we will:
Review cyclocross basics: dismount, carry, barriers, remount, corners, starts
Gain speed in transitions: on/off, carry, over barriers
Practice techniques for riding steep ups/downs, off-cambers
Discuss/practice tactics -- ride/run decisions, passing, blocking, when to attack
Develop greater confidence via "sessioning" challenging features/mini courses as a group.
Analyze clips of professional racing as a group
Discuss power requirements of cyclocross and suggested workouts (power meter not needed)
Clinic Cost: $120 for full clinic
Zoom ONLY registration for $30
Pre-Registration ONLY at Bike Reg.
NEW THIS YEAR: Triple C Clinics are no longer permitted via USA Cycling. You do NOT need a USA Cycling license to participate.
Full clinic is limited to 10 riders in order to provide each athlete with sufficient attention and support to encourage growth.
COVID-19: This clinic will adhere to Minnesota Department of Health "COVID-19 Organized Sports Practice and Games Guidance for Youth and Adults" if any guidance remains in place on clinic start date. Accordingly, masking is NOT required for the clinic.
