2024 Cyclocross Skills in a Night

This is just-the-basics introduction to the discipline!

Monday, September 16,  5:00 pm - 7:00 pm 

(Monday, September 23 is severe weather make-up date)

LOCATION: At an unnamed MPLS City greenspace located E. Minnehaha Parkway and 35th Ave S (https://goo.gl/maps/YqQ1E7Rf95mwkz9z6). Park is S of Minnehaha Creek, E of S 34th Ave, N of the parkway. Street Parking in neighborhood around 35th Ave S.

We welcome all genders, all ages. No cyclocross experience expected!

We will cover:

  • Equipment basics

  • Cyclocross skills: dismount, carry, barriers, remount, corners, start

​Equipment: Cyclocross, gravel, or MTB bikes welcome. You should have MTB pedals and shoes or flat pedals.

Your Instructor is Corey Coogan Cisek (she/her) has been teaching cyclocross skills in the Twin Cities since 2019. She is a former professional, international cyclocross competitor and 2x Masters National Champion.

Clinic Cost: $30

Clinic is limited to 12 riders in order to provide each athlete with sufficient attention and support to encourage growth.

 

Pre-Registration at Bike Reg.

If spots remain after online registration closes (5:00 pm Sunday, September 15), you my register on-site for $45. Cash (exact change), checking, or Venmo. First come, first serve.

This clinic is NOT USA Cycling sanctioned and you do NOT need a USA Cycling License to participate.

Coach Corey (she/her) has been coaching since college, where she started with junior high and high school running and Nordic skiing. She started her coaching business, Triple C Coaching in 2019, stepping away from a 12-year career in Project Management. She coaches all ages and genders, beginner to international competitors, in cycling, running, triathlon, and Nordic skiing. Her specialties and interest areas include: FTWNB beginner and amateur cyclists, cyclocross, junior cyclists, athletes recovering from disordered eating, and athletes with anxiety. As a competitor, Corey raced professional cyclocross in Europe from 2017 to 2024.
